Hallucinations are still a massive issue in the AI space. If you’re using an AI tool like ChatGPT, getting the wrong information can happen at times - especially when you're relying on psychological or scientific information for your AI life coach. 🛟 🧰

Remember the AI fiasco not long ago when AI told people to eat rocks for health or put glue on pizza? That happened because if AI doesn't have all the right info that it has been trained on, or the wrong info, it simply fills in the gaps. 🍕

So what to do?

You can improve ChatGPTs accuracy and limit hallucinations by adding some text to a prompt that tells the model to source info from a specific (and trusted) source, like Wikipedia, Department of Education, World Health Organization or MIT Technology Review.

Here's how...

Try adding the “according to” phrase to your life coach prompt to increase the probability that ChatGPT, or Claude AI, will ground it's response in data it has been trained on, instead of making things up (i.e. hallucinating). 🥴 🍄

Side note: Ever meet a human who hallucinates when you ask them about a subject they pretend to know about? 😉

The "according to" method goes beyond referencing just one source like Wikipedia. I've listed a few examples below in this updated life coach prompt 1.

China leads the world in adoption of generative AI

Our Chinese 🇨🇳 cousins are adopting AI at an alarming rate, winning the AI adoption race. With 83% of the Chinese population using AI, compared to 65% in the US and 54% worldwide.

The industries surveyed include healthcare, retail, banking, insurance, telecommunications, energy and manufacturing. The results show China's super-duper fast adoption of technology in the generative AI field!
